Spike Spiegel is one of my favorite characters of all time and Cowboy Bebop, my official favorite anime. Spike knew that living free has its costs, and he was willing to accept that. Not because everything was meaningless, but because he saw life as a dream that he'd one day wake up from. Until then, the world would be his to shape and have fun with, like in a real dream.
